Day 354 ~ No Candy for Halloween!!!!! WHAT!!!!

I feel like The Grinch who Stole Halloween because I had to hang this sign by our front door. I go to bed really early because I wake up at 1am to go to work so, basically, I go to bed before most toddlers. Anyway, so that the door bell doesn't ring all day/night long, I posted this sign.

Here's the sign from a distance. Kids/parents should be able to read it from the sidewalk.

Day 353 ~ A Pikmin Invasion

I am not a gamer but my kids are. My son Matthew plays a game called Pikmin and he thought he'd create a scene for everyone's entertainment.

Day 352 ~ Jimmy Bars!

Look! They named a snack bar after me! I was buying a cup of coffee at work today and I noticed this was for sale. Now, I didn't buy it for two reasons: First, I don't like Peanut Butter and Second, since it is sold at the Airport, I know it is overpriced. They did have two other flavors:  Apple and Chocolate chip. Maybe, someday, I will try those.

Day 351 ~ At a Dog Event

A couple of weeks back, Karen and I took Margaret and Libby to a dog event at a church in our neighborhood. Here is Karen and Margaret in a game SIMON SAYS....They lost.

At the event, they had  portrait booth where you could get photos of your dog. We tried to get Libby in there as well but she just wouldn't sit still so here is Margaret in a Winter Scene.

Day 350 ~ Halloween is just around the Corner

Karen and I  went shopping for dinner at Shoprite and I came across this shelf. Nothing says Halloween like candy corn! We didn't buy any though because I am bed super-early and would rather not have the doorbell ring for Trick or Treaters so we plan to put a sign on the door, politely telling the little munchkins that there will be no candy given out.  Hope they all take it well.

Day 349 ~ My bro Joe!

On my birthday, a few weeks back, my wife Karen and my brother Joey went to the Museum of Natural History (a place where my brother got mugged when he was only 13 but that's another story.) We came across this statue in the Indonesian Section. Of course, we had to goof around! Oh, by the way, today is my brother, Joey's birthday so, Happy Birthday, big brother and many more! 

We did take a "serious" picture but I like the goofy one better.

This was the first goofy picture we took but he likes the other one better. So do I!

Day 348~ The Best Store-bought Pizza

My son insists that DiGiono pizza should be eaten more than pizza from our local pizzeria because the taste is just as good and much cheaper than going out for a slice. 

Daniel said, "try it; you'll see"

I did and while it is the best store bought pizza I've ever tasted, I still plan on going out for pizza. A slice from the pizzeria is still much better.

Day 347 ~ Another picture from Lowe's

When Karen and I went to Lowe's last week to check about some home improvements, I came across this advertisement in the store. It made me laugh to look at it and I sure am glad I don't have to clean him up!

Day 346 ~ Mushrooms on a Walk

While taking my dog, Margaret, for a much needed walk last week. On the way, I came across an enormous mushroom....thought I'd take a picture....

My Iphone is pretty new; I've only had it a couple of weeks so when I thought I was taking a picture, I was actually taking a video. Above is  the video I thought was a picture. Oh, well. I'll learn it better in the future.

Day 345 ~ The Airport Meditation Room

 I work at the airport and, in the terminal I used to work at, they had a meditation room. I used to go there from time to time.

It is a quiet place where I have witnessed Muslims, Christians and Jews all praying in the same space. I now work in an other terminal so I won't be able to visit there anymore.

Day 344 ~ Shopping at Lowe's

Mr. Potato Head

 My wife and I went to Lowe's yesterday to see about some home improvements and we both noticed how, even though it's still October, the Christmas decorations are already on sale. There were a bunch of "blow up" displays that are for a person's front lawn. I've always thought them a bit tacky but to each his own.
