Day 319 ~ Dogfest 2013

Karen and I love taking Libby and Margaret to dog events. This past Sunday was Dogfest sponsored by the Brick township Chamber of Commerce. We love seeing all the dogs and talking to dog-people because people who love theirs enough to take them to events like this are really great to talk to!
These two dogs caught my eye!
 It's Margaret!
 And Libby!
 It's Everybody!

There seemed to be more people last year but we still had a great time.

See you tomorrow.

Day 316 ~ Notes about Dogs

The Note
I had to get up early and leave the house so I fed the dogs before I left. Well, we don't want to overfeed the dogs so I made sure that I left a note for Karen to let her know they both ate.  When I cam home later, I found she wrote the work "Okay" on the note and drew a picture of a dog. I guess that one is Libby, our dachshund.

Day 303 ~ I"VE BEEN PHOTOSHOPED!!!

2 cute dogs, still
Remember yesterday's cute little picture of two adorable dogs who were starring and I ask the question, I wonder what they are thinking? Well, someone, who shall remain nameless, doctored up my pics to answer that question for us.

See you tomorrow.

Day 296 ~ Dog Day Afternoon , part Deux!

Part of the crowd
Here are the rest of the pics of the Your dog is worth it, too day. As I said yesterday, we had a great time!

Riley and Margaret
Wheaten owners have a lot to talk about so when we met Michelle, who owns Riley, we spent a lot of time talking about the breed. I heard someone else say while standing in line somewhere, "Have you noticed people are more friendly, when they are with their dogs?" That is true! We made new friends all day long.

We had to take lots of breaks because the dogs got tired. Margaret, because of her coat and Libby because her legs are short.

My friend, Victor, works at Petsmart so I took this picture for him.

Here is a picture of a man in a dog's costume.

more resting.

We'll do this again next year (hopefully) because we all love it!

See you tomorrow.

Day 206 ~ A Visit to the Vet

cat treats
Poor Margaret has an ear infection so Karen had me call the Veterinarian;s office and get some medicine for her. I drove down to the office and as was waiting I noticed these treats for cats. On my way out, I saw the ones for dogs but didn't feel like taking the picture cuz people already look at me funny enough.

The sign
Here is the sign in the hallway giving instructions about pets being on leashes. good advice.

Hope Margaret feels better soon.

See you tomorrow.

Day 204 ~ Dog Treats!

Treat Jar
Our dogs eat twice a day, 8am and 5pm but in the middle of the day, we give them a little treat from our treat jar. As you can see, we are running low and Margaret and Libby won't put up with that so it's off to Petsmart for us!
Margaret munching
I took a picture of Libby eating the treat but she was too quick so that picture didn't come out right. Here is Margaret taking the treat from me; it's a bit blurry but it's better than the one I took of Libby.

See you tomorrow.

Day 200 ~ Mother's Day Gifts!

The gifts, with notes from me, Libby and Margaret
I went to Walmart and Staples on Mother's day eve so I could set this up for Karen when she walked in after working all night. The center gift was from me and the two on the side were from our dogs. You have no idea how tough it is to get dogs to go to Walmart with you

Now we can rock out on our computer.
We have really cheap speakers on our computer so I went to Staples and got these at a good price. Now our music won't sound tinny.
yummy

These are two of Karen's favorite treats; these were from Margaret.

A painting
I went to Walmart to buy the frame and the picture is actually a "painting" I had commissioned from DeviantART. The artist drew the painting form Karen's profile picture on Facebook.

I hope Karen had a great Mother's day, even though she had to work.

See you tomorrow.

Day 132 ~ The Morning Dog Routine

Libby by the door
Every morning me and the dogs go through the same routine. I talk Margaret outside to "do her business" and Libby always waits by the door, wishing she were outside, too. But she has a bad back so we don't let her climb down the steps, plus when both dogs are out, Margaret likes to pounce on Libby, in a playful way of course.
Libby by an other door
Then I go to the garage and get the food. Libby ALWAYS goes to the edge of the doorway, impatiently waiting to get the food. One time she got so excited that she fell down the stairs.

an eating frenzy

The both devour their food....

no stopping till they're done!
 ...but Libby eats faster.
Libby almost done
 Yum Yum
Margaret, the slower eater
Then after they eat they lie down for their morning nap. I guess it's tough being a dog.

See you tomorrow.
