Day 87 ~ A Strange Place to find a Kid!

under a pew
When I was in church yesterday, I saw this kid rolling on the floor under the pews. He did stop a minute so I could take his picture. When I showed the picture to his parents, his father said he was a goofball.  Hey, if you can't be a goofball when you are a kid, when can you be?

By the way, I do not go to a Pentacostal church so this kid can't be accused of being a holy roller.

See you tomorrow.

Day 21 ~ Awesome Art from a Cook Kid!

In the Wilken's house before we wrapped it up!

Last Saturday when we were helping friends move I took the picture of this painting that was hanging in their living room. (Yes, it was the same day, I took the picture of Amy tying her sneakers, if you are keeping track of such things.) This is something, Jim and Jaya's daughter Jayani painted.  Before we took it off the wall to put into the moving van, I had to take a picture of it. Jayani is 12 years old and I think she is very talented.

another picture in another room!

I really like Jayani's use of colors! Now, If you'd like to see a picture of my art, FORGET IT. I can't even dray stick figures correctly. :)

Day 19 ~ Tying Sneakers!

Amy, tying her sneakers
Last Saturday, when we helped out friends move, Amy, a girl from the church and the daughter of one of the helpers, sat down to tie her sneakers. I glanced at her and thought, "It seems like she is taking a long time to tie them." and then I thought, "I know! I need a picture for the daily blog"  So I took these pics. She looked at me like I was out of my mind, which I may be and she asked, "Why are you taking a picture of me tying my shoes" I told her it was for my blog. She asked, "What kind of blog do you have?"

Now, that's a good question!

I guess in my year long project of uploading a phone picture everyday, I am going to have to upload some unusual ones from time to time just to keep up!

So, here is Amy, tying her sneakers!
Thanks Amy!

Day 5~ a Kid in the Church Office.

snarky girl?
On Saturday, after the Prayer Breakfast, I went up to the Church office to do some things for the Jr NYI youth Group and, one of its members, this girl, was in the office. I said "Smile" and she gave this snarky looking grin!

She really is a sweet girl but one of the things I like about her is she can be a bit of smart aleck at times...and that makes me laugh!
