Day 317 ~The Best Salad maker I know!

Here is a picture of my father-in-law at the supermarket, taken by his son while he was visiting. Michael sent this pic to me to show how he was shopping with his father. Here he is picking out fresh green beans but if you ever want a fantastic treat, go ahead and eat one of my pop-in-law's salads! They are to die for!

Day 264 ~ Sara is home...and shopping!

Yay, Sara is home but as you can see she isn't too thrilled about shopping with her parents at J.C. Penny....Oh, well, life is hard sometimes! Glad you are home for a while, Sara!

Day 242 ~ Going to the Base!

Special Parking

I went to the base today to shop at the Base Exchange (BX) and the Commissary. I noticed this parking sign. I guess it is for anyone who is hurt or disabled due to combat. The parking space was right near the front door. Giving a wonder warrior preferential parking is the least we can do for them. God bless them!

Checking things out

 My friend from my old job had wanted to visit the base for a long time so I let him tag along.  Here we are at clothing sales which sells mostly uniform items but he stocked up on lots of things.

 After we went shopping, my friend Bill treated me to lunch! I had a Swiss cheese burger and fries. It was delicious!

Day 56 ~ Coins for Christmas Shopping!

 All year long, Karen has emptied my pockets and collected all the coins from those pockets and put them into a can. Well, we collected two cans worth of coins and went to TD Bank to cash them in. How much did we get? Enough for some modest Christmas Shopping!
