Day 321~ 9-11 Revenge?

Karen and I were out and about this evening and I came across this written on the back of someone's car.  I wonder who he wants us to nuke?  I sure hope he doesn't mean the Syrians! Anyway, on this day, 9-11, we remember our fallen fellow countrymen who died for no other reason than we were hated. God grant the victims rest, the families solace and may those who have such hatred in themselves have their own hearts turned.

Day 304 ~ How I keep track of my car

Parking in New York can be tough at times and sometimes you have to park a few blocks away from where you actually want to be....I tend to be forgetful so I took a picture of where my car was parked so I would be able to find it again when I wanted to go home. Works every time.

Day 251 ~ a Pro-life Car

I went blueberry picking with my wife, her friend Pamela and my mom-in-law. In the parking lot was this car which had a Pro-Life message on both sides of the car. I have to admire this person's commitment to the cause. I don't think I'd like to turn my car into a bill-board. I wonder if he or she gets heckled while driving around town?

Day 220 ~ A Car parked in Georgia

We had a great time in Georgia watching our daughter graduate from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and our friends were kind enough to put us up for a few days. Here is a picture of our car, sitting on the street - from the viewpoint of the window!

Yesterday  when I was helping delivering a hospital bed, we saw this on the side of the road. We just had to stop and take a look. I'd love a car like that!

Day 162 ~ A New Friend for the Dashboard of my Car.

I went to the bank and found this new guy sitting next to my camel.  It's everyone's favorite Video Game character, Kirby!

My camel was happy for the company, although Kirby couldn't stay long.

Day 150 ~ Waiting for Matthew

My son doesn't drive so I have to pick him up at work. This is what it looks like when I park my car and wait for him.  He washes dishes at an assisted living facility.

Day 98 ~ An Oil Change

My Volkswagen Bug was 500 miles overdue for an oil change so I finally took care of it. I was able to study medical terminology while I waited.

Day 82 ~ Taking Matt to Work!

 I stood by the window and watched Karen pull out of the driveway and take Matthew, who does not drive, to work. So I decided to take a picture of it.

It's about a 25 minute drive so usually Karen and I switch off, one taking him and the other picking him up.
We both love it when he has a day off :)

Day 25 ~ I Lost my Car...and found it again!

Okay, I am  officially losing it! I went to the Mall yesterday to the Verizon Wireless store so I could see about reducing some of our phone bill by cutting minutes or something and after that I went out to the parking lot to get my car.

 BUT I COULDN'T FIND IT!

It took me fifteen minutes but I finally found my little Volkswagen Bug! It was so great to see it! As I got in my car, I realized that being unemployed is a bit of a transition for me and that perhaps the stress of looking for a new job is something I have to adjust to.

I am proud of myself because usually when I do stupid things like that I totally lose it! But this time I only lost it a little bit :) Maybe, that's why it only took me 15 minutes to find my car instead of a half  hour.

Note to Self: Make sure you pay extra special attention to where I park!

Day 20~ Miles and Miles on the car!

 

So I pull into the parking lot at work and I glance down! This is what I see: 99999 miles on the  odometer!

After work, I drove a mile and took this picture while at a red light!

This is my car as it sits in the parking lot at work. I really like my car. It is good on gas and somehow the bug fits my quirky personality
